Tri-Guard Metal Paint

A tough, decorative coating designed to protect and beautify metalwork while reducing prep time and system complexity. It can also be used on wood and concrete, and on non-ferrous metals when correctly pre-primed (e.g., galvanised steel or aluminium with WRX Multi-Surface Primer). Ideal for doors, windows, railings, gates, furniture and more.

Specifications

Ensure surfaces are sound, clean, dry and free from contaminants that may impair adhesion.

Remove loose or flaking material and repair defects.

Degrease bare metal. Thoroughly remove rust by wire-brushing, scraping, sand-blasting or wiping.

Do not apply in damp/humid conditions or below +8 °C; avoid exterior application if rain is imminent.

Stir thoroughly. Ready to use; if required, thin with up to 10% dearomatised white spirit.

Apply by high-quality synthetic brush, short-pile microfibre roller or spray.

Load the brush generously, apply evenly and avoid over-spreading. Two coats recommended.

Up to 14 m² per litre per coat, depending on the surface.

Touch dry: 1–2 hours

Recoat: 3–5 hours (longer in high humidity/low temperature)

Remove excess product; clean tools with white spirit.

Do not pour leftovers into drains or watercourses; consult local authority facilities.

Reseal the lid tightly after use.

Store and transport upright in dry conditions; protect from frost, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Flammable liquid and vapour. May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. May cause drowsiness or dizziness. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames and hot surfaces—no smoking. Avoid breathing vapours/spray.
IF SWALLOWED: Call a poison centre or doctor immediately.
IF INHALED: Move to fresh air and rest.
Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Warning: hazardous respirable droplets may be formed when sprayed—do not breathe spray or mist. Hazardous component requiring labelling: Hydrocarbons C9–C11 (64742-48-9). Store in a well-ventilated place with container tightly closed; dispose of contents/container via licensed companies.

EU limit for this product (Cat. A/i): 500 g/L (2010). This product contains max. 420 g/L VOC. VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) contribute to atmospheric pollution.
