Preparation Before Painting
- Before you start spray painting, we recommend you to paint your refrigerator outdoors and wear a mask, if possible. If you do not have the opportunity to paint outdoors, as in a workshop or kitchen, open all the windows and try to ventilate your room.
- If your refrigerator is dusty prior to painting, use a damp cloth or microfiber cloth to wipe the front, sides and tops of your refrigerator, because the dust or dirt left on the outside of the refrigerator disperses the paint and prevents the coating property of the paint.
- You can apply masking tape to areas where you don’t want the paint to get.
- You can apply primer or sand the area before the painting process, this will allow the spray paint to apply better on the refrigerator .
Application
- Stick the same sized stickers on your refrigerator.
- Shake the spray paint for about 1-2 minutes before use.
- Paint the refrigerator with the spray paint you have chosen so that there are no areas with no paint.
- Apply the paint in thin coats from a distance of 25-30 cm, in 2-3 cross coats with 20 minutes intervals between coats.
- Let the paint dry.
- After waiting for it to dry for about 15-20 minutes, let’s apply the second layer.
- After 15 minutes you can touch the painted area and it will dry completely within 24 hours.
- Then let’s remove the stickers one by one to gradually reveal a unique refrigerator
- Your new refrigerator is ready for use. Enjoy!
After the paint can is shaked well, the spray paint is applied in thin layers from a distance of 25-30 cm, in 2-3 cross layers with 20 minutes intervals between layers.
After Painting
Due to the quick drying properties of spray paints, it will be enough to wait 15-20 minutes before applying the second coat. You can touch the painted area 15 minutes after letting the paint dry, and complete drying will occur within 24 hours.
