WRX Trade Hammertone Paint
Decorative anti-rust metal paint. Solvent-based, epoxy modified alkyd binder based, air-dried, hammered metal looking, anticorrosive, gloss topcoat paint.
For best results, make sure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean and dry. Remove anyloose or flaking material. Repair damaged areas. Glossy surfaces should be sanded down to provide a key. Wear a suitable mask if dry sanding. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead.
It dries fast and it can be applied on surfaces with or without an undercoat. It is gloss. It contains anticorrosive pigments and forms a barrier against atmospheric moisture to which it may be exposed, creating an anticorrosive film layer. It can be applied on rusty surfaces since it is a surface-tolerant paint. It gives the surfaces a hammered metal looking. It easily hides and covers the blemishes occurring during metalworking and adds a decorative appearance.
Do not apply in damp or humid conditions or room temperatures below 10°C. Stir well before use. In case of application with a spray gun, attention should be paid to thinning; 3-4 coats of application should be made, allowing 15-20 minutes between the coats. Spray gun should be kept 15-20 cm away from the surface and air pressure adjusted at 2 bars. Pattern size of the paint may vary depending on the thinning ratio and application conditions. In case of brush application, best pattern is obtained when no thinner is used. Second coat should be applied in 3 hours following the application of first coat. Thin 10-20% with rapid/industrial thinner for spray gun application. No thinning required for brush application, max 5% if required.
WRX Hammertone will cover approximately 12-14 square metres per litre depending on the surface.
